Debora Mendonca, a fearless Brazilian immigrant, embarked on an incredible journey to America in pursuit of the American Dream. Starting as a busser in the hospitality industry with very little English, she tenaciously worked her way up to become a respected owner before assuming her current role as Director of Operations at the prestigious establishment, The Glass Knife, in Florida.
In addition to her illustrious career, Debora serves as the Social Chair of the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce, and has also launched her public speaking journey, embodying her commitment to community and leadership. Her fiery spirit, unwavering determination, and recent graduation from Leadership Winter Park underscore her passion for personal and professional growth. Her impressive list of achievements includes numerous awards including CHAIRPERSON OF THE YEAR 2023 by The Winter Park Chamber of Commerce, WOMAN IN LEADERSHIP by Midia America 2024, Noticeable Brazilians 2023, as Best Restaurant 2022, Certificate of Excellence 2019, Gold Career Advanced Medal from NYU, Certificate from Harvard Business School 2021, and a multitude of other accolades, all testaments to her unrelenting drive and dedication to excellence. Debora Mendonca loves to collaborate, to create and to evolve as a human. She is a true inspiration, driven by her goals and fueled by her fervent passion for both leadership and community.
Felicia White
Director of Franchise Training, Scooter’s Coffee
Felicia White is the Director of Franchise Training for Scooter’s Coffee where she supports the continued brand growth through creation and delivery of franchisee training programs. Felicia also serves as a volunteer and board member with CHART (Council of Hotel and Restaurant Trainers),and is a member of the Women’s Foodservice Forum. She is a sought after subject matter expert in the area of Front Line Leadership Development, and presents at various organization events on building leadership development and mentorship programs.
Felicia was recognized as one of the most influential restaurant executives in the country in The Power List: Reader Picks (2020) by Nation’s Restaurant News, and selected as the winner in the Innovator category in the 2020 Top Women in Restaurant Technology at the Multi-Unit Restaurant Technology Conference. She recently self-published a book: Bowties and Cowboy Boots, Lessons in Life and Leadership, where se shares many of these learnings and advice.
Felicia holds various training certifications including Certified Hospitality Trainer (AHELI), an Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts, a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Administration, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, and is currently enrolled in a Doctor of Education in Adult Learning and Development program at Northwestern State University with an anticipated graduation date of Spring 2025.
